Kunde (pronounced: kün-dey, spelled: ཀུན་བདེ།) Institute, a center for Tibetan wellness and healing, was founded by Doctor Yangdron Kalzang in 2004. The name “Kunde” was given to the center by her root teacher, Kenpo Troru Tsenam Rinpoche, one of the most highly respected scholars of traditional Tibetan Medicine in Tibet. In Tibetan, “Kunde” means “may all beings be healthy, wealthy and happy.” Dedicated to the mission of benefiting all people with affordable, integrative health services, Kunde offers a variety of traditional Tibetan and Asian medical modalities. Adam Okerblom
Licensed Acupuncturist, Menpa (Tibetan Medicine Practitioner), Candidate of DAOM Adam Okerblom is a California State Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) and Certified Tibetan Medicine Practitioner. He is currently a Doctoral Fellow at the Five Branches University Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program. Adam's practice integrates Tibetan Medicine with Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In clinical practice, Adam uses hands on therapies including acupuncture, massage, cupping, moxibustion and energy therapy. He employs traditional theory, diagnostic methods and herbal formulas from both Chinese and Tibetan Medicine. Adam offers dietary and lifestyle counseling for holistic health and wellness. Adam is passionate about the fascinating science of traditional Eastern Medicine, and is deeply inspired to serve others, in emulation of the great capacity and compassion of his Teachers.
