Exploring end of life care from a Western, Tibetan Medical, and Buddhist perspective
A 50 hour course presented by Kunde Institute

  • September in person class at Kunde Institute at 1440 Southgate Ave Suite 4, Daly City, CA, USA.

About: Birth, aging, sickness and death are the natural processes of life but we often ignore the last three and treat death and dying as taboo. This course will bring together hospice experts, Buddhist teachers, medical professionals and researchers to explore alternative and holistic perspectives of death and dying,  and promote conversation and contemplation of this often difficult topic.
We’ll cover the 4 stages of the natural processes of our lives, the Buddhist view of death and dying, and introduction to the Bardo as well as both Western medical and Tibetan medicine views of palliative and hospice care.

Our speakers will include a Tibetan Buddhist lama, Western and Tibetan medical doctors and experts in transitional (hospice) care.
