About: Birth, aging, sickness and death are the natural processes of life but we often ignore the last three and treat death and dying as taboo. This course will bring together hospice experts, Buddhist teachers, medical professionals and researchers to explore alternative and holistic perspectives of death and dying, and promote conversation and contemplation of this often difficult topic.
We’ll cover the 4 stages of the natural processes of our lives, the Buddhist view of death and dying, and introduction to the Bardo as well as both Western medical and Tibetan medicine views of palliative and hospice care.
