This amazing Amethyst mala is handmade in California by a Tibetan Buddhist monk, with your choice of 6mm or 8mm amethyst beads.
Healing Properties:
Amethyst is said to calm, protect and cleanse the spirit. It is believed to have healing powers to help with physical ailments, especially of the nervous system. It also is believed to help with emotional issues, and cure nightmares and insomnia.
How to Use the Mala?
Traditionally, malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. In Tibetan Buddhism, malas, or garlands of prayer beads, come as a string of 108 beads (plus one for the “guru bead”, around which the other 108 beads turn like the planets around the sun).
